That was 1972. The last mission to the moon, Apollo 17 was preparing to return. Before the door was locked, mission commander Eugene Cerner made a strange move. He bend down and with his hands, On the soft shining sand of the Moon, wrote his daughter's name Tracy.
It was such a gift, which Eugene once promised to her daughter. But as he got back into the space vehicle and began the return journey. He realized that the picture was not taken....😐
The joy of spending three days on moon and the regret of not taking a picture stayed with him for life.
Ever since Eugene, no new mission went to moon.
But yes after two years, in 2025 and 2026, in collaboration with SpaceX, NASA'S "Artemis III" will be the next mission to land humans on Moon!
