Why Saudi Arabia could not be colonized till today?

One of the few nations that have never been colonized is Saudi Arabia πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¦. By giving orders to the Hijaz rulers, the Ottoman empire indirectly controlled the Hijaz region and the western coast of Saudi Arabia, although they failed to occupy the entire territory.

Foreign invaders found it virtually impossible to enter the region due to the severe conditions of the Arabian deserts. Only the local inhabitants could endure the heat, lack of water, and desert travel. Bedion culture has consistently opposed foreign interference in any fashion. Because each tribe opposes any foreign occupation, the tribal aspect of the culture makes any outside intervention difficult.

Due to its lack of natural resources, Saudi Arabia remained unattractive to colonizers until it discovered oil in the late 1930s. When World War II began, Saudi Arabia alternated between neutral and allied positions. Saudi Arabia became a founding member of the United Nations πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡³ after World War II to keep colonists away from its valuable oil.
